For Amber Hopkins - who had the task of designing not one but two of her children?s bedrooms at the same time - there wasn?t much to work from. ?Given the time, effort and money put into renovating and decorating, we really wanted the rooms to be spaces both we and our children were really happy with,? she explains. ?We therefore asked our kids what they would ideally like their rooms to be like. Our daughter said ?pink, rainbow sparkle? and our son, who was very young at the time, purely said ?tractor?.? It was challenge accepted for Amber (left), who doesn?t have a background in interiors but has always been interested in home decor. When she moved into her Victorian mid-terrace in south-west London four years ago it was tired and dated.
