Outrage as Barking and Dagenham Postman Allegedly Dumps Weeks of Mail in Communal Bins Residents in Barking and Dagenham have expressed outrage after claims that a local postman dumped weeks??? worth of mail into communal bins, leaving many without vital letters and parcels. A post shared on a local community group by Jennifer Simmons alleged that post intended for addresses on Holden Road, Stevens Road, and Becontree Avenue had been discarded, prompting concerns over missing deliveries. She wrote: "If anyone in Holden Rd, Stevens Rd, and Becontree Ave have not had any post, let me tell you, your arsehole of a postman has dumped days, maybe weeks, of post in our communal bins. We are waiting for it all to be collected." Concerns Over Missing Important Documents The news has sparked concern that sensitive and urgent letters, including bank statements, hospital appointments, and birthday cards, may have been lost. Local resident Claire Stepton commented: "That's disgusting!!! Could be kids' birthday cards or even hospital appointment letters in that. Hope this postie gets a serious fine for this!" Another local, Dan Lee, raised concerns about data security: "That???s a data breach, surely. Imagine all those important documents got into the wrong hands???identity fraud and all sorts could be happening right now!" Calls for Investigation Many residents have urged those affected to report the matter to Royal Mail immediately to identify the responsible postman. Some have also suggested contacting the police. Lisa Prager commented: "Contact Royal Mail, they will soon figure out who dumped the post if a complaint like that is raised." Tina Thompson-Theis added: "I hope you have reported it to Royal Mail!" Smoke was seen billowing around Cardiff's Principality Stadium in the early hours of this morning(tues) after a huge fire broke out nearby. The blaze began in a sheltered housing unit opposite the 74,500-seater stadium which cause major damage to the property. Fire chiefs warned residents for miles around the scene to close their doors and windows as plumes of thick smoke emerged. No one was hurt after the blaze broke out at around midnight but large parts of the building - including the roof - were badly damaged. A statement from South Wales Fire and Rescue said: "In attendance in Riverside, Cardiff. Smoke travelling to Cardiff Bay area. Keeps doors and windows closed." WALES NEWS SERVICE

November 5: Fleet, Engineering, Stations, and Trains staff (except ERU and Engineering Vehicles Operations and Maintenance) will strike for 24 hours November 6-8: Signallers and Service Controllers will strike from 00:01 to 23:59 on 6th November, with further strikes on 7th and 8th November.

These dramatic pictures show a huge emergency response after a primary school was hit with a bomb threat. February 25 2025. Police raced to Badbury Park Primary School, in Rainscombe Road in Swindon, Wilts, at around 2.30pm today (Tuesday) ??? working to evacuate hundreds of children to safety. Around 25 police officers were in attendance alongside Hazardous Area Response Team ambulance crews and specially-trained fire officers. Numerous homes within a 200-metre radius of the school have also been evacuated, as has the local Co-op store.
