During an episode of The One Show, Sally Phillips accidentally let a swear word slip live on air.

The star, 54, is best known for comedic appearances in TV and films such as Bridget Jones, Smack the Pony, and Veep is set to appear on the new BBC series Austin.

Appearing alongside her Austin co-star,  Ben Miller, 59, the star appeared on The One Show to discuss their upcoming series.

The pair discussed their co-star Michael Theo and Sally revealed: ‘We did have a word with each other early on, we were like “Oh s**t. S**t he’s really good. We’re going to have to raise our game.’

As the story continued, Lauren Laverne realised the mistake and then apologised for the ‘fruity language’.

‘We should just apologise guys, for any fruity language, sorry about that.’

Ben and Sally immediately looked at one another and burst out laughing as they realised that Sally had sworn live on air.

Lauren then told co-host Alex Jones, ‘It wasn’t you Alex,’ who looked rather confused as she appeared to have missed the bad language.

‘I think it might have been me, yes I’ll take it,’ joked Claudia Winkleman who was also on the couch alongside the singer Mika.

Claudia gave a nod to Sally as she jokingly took the blame for the on-air swear.

During their appearance on the BBC series, Sally and Ben spoke about the importance of their new TV show, which focuses on neurodiversity.

The series follows Julian (Ben), a newly-cancelled author on a book tour in Canberra, who discovers that he has a 28-year-old son named Austin.

Julian and his wife, Ingrid (Sally), then get to know Austin, who is neurodiverse and has tracked down his father in hopes of forming a connection.

In conversation about the series with Metro, Sally revealed: ‘I think disabled representation, it’s definitely been the poor cousin of race and gender. Also, disability hate crime is the one hate crime that is rising,’ she said.

‘And I really firmly believe in the power of especially television, weirdly, more than cinema, because with TV, you’re turning up in people’s homes.’

Katie Price has revealed that she was forced to leave Mucky Mansion after being conned.

The former reality TV star, 46, moved out of the dilapidated house in May 2024 after reports of an eviction notice due to her financial issues (which she has denied) and undergoing a ‘hellish’ ordeal while living there.

It was reported at the time that the star had been served an eviction notice after filing for bankruptcy, which Katie has also denied.

The star now claims that she ‘handed back the keys’ to the home, known as Mucky Mansion after her renovation TV series, after being conned in a fly-tipping scam.

In an interview on The Disruptors podcast, Katie claimed that she thought she was turning her land into a wedding venue.

‘So the reason I got out of my house. I was introduced to a guy who said, “Why don’t we turn your house into a wedding venue? Because you’ve got stables, we’ll do a big gallop track in your fields.”

‘And where your tennis court is, we’ll knock that down and we’ll build you a brand new one and a brand new five-bedroom house. And you can use your house as a wedding venue.

‘Showed my mum all the stuff, all legit, had this architect there, all the drawings, all the planning. I don’t know what’s real and what’s not and he sold us the dream.

He started getting everything at my house, putting scaffolding up on the house and knocked my tennis court down. Every time I’d go to the house, there was all diggers in the field.’

She then revealed things took a turn: ‘And then one day, when we went to the house to film, I went out in the fields and I thought. What is actually going on here?

‘This doesn’t look like it’s a gallop track, and that’s when people messaged me and said “oh my god, Kate is with this fraudster”.

She revealed the man gave her various names, and eventually it led to her being caught out for flytipping and being given an enormous bill to sort out the rubbish on her land.

‘He fly tips on your fields. Then we caught him out. Then I’m left with the house. Council on my case saying you’ve got to get rid of all this flytipping – it’s contaminated, this and that.

‘And I’m like but it wasn’t me that’s done it. We had quotes that it was going to cost me about £800,000 to get it all back right.

‘So I was like, do you know what? I’ll give the keys back, I don’t want it. You can have it back.’ 

The estate, which includes nine bedrooms, four bathrooms, 12 acres, and a disused swimming pool, was bought by the reality star in 2014 for an estimated £ 1.35 million.

Katie sold the property in December 2024 for a loss. A public notice on Rightmove stated at the time: ‘Mortgagees in possession are now in receipt of an offer for the sum of £1,150,000,’ per the Daily Mail.

The star previously called the Sussex mansion ‘cursed’ and told the Daily Mail: ‘I’ve been wanting to get out of my old house for absolute years. It’s been nothing but hell in there. I’ve not had any luck in that house, ever.’

‘I hate that house. Whoever buys it, I warn them, they will get bad luck there. It is absolutely cursed. My anxiety got worse with that house. There was a point when I couldn’t even walk up the driveway without having a panic attack.

‘I had therapy about the house. I should never have gone back there. Now I’m out of it, it’s the best thing I’ve ever done.’

The mum-of-five now lives in a four-bed Sussex home for a reported £5,000 a month with her boyfriend JJ Slater.

Christine McGuinness has revealed that she is struggling to pay off her huge divorce bill three years on from her split from husband Paddy McGuinness.

The model, 37, split from her ex-husband after 11 years of marriage.

The pair announced their split in 2022 and reportedly settled their divorce in October while remaining friends and living together to co-parent their children, Leo and Penelope, 10, and Felicity, seven

In a new interview, the star admitted that the divorce has been expensive, but she’s determined to be able to say: ‘I paid for my own divorce.’

During an appearance on The Shizzio Show podcast, Christine explained: ‘There was times where it was fine and really civil, and we were agreeing on what we wanted and what we were going, then there was times where it felt like we were starting all the way back at the beginning.

‘It’s the biggest bill I have ever paid in my life, and I will say that I paid for my own divorce, nobody else…’

She went on to explain that she and her ex agree that they would do things very differently now, as they both ended up spending huge amounts on divorce lawyers.

‘I think people assume that if you’re going through a divorce with someone who earns a hell of a lot of money, your legal fees will be covered, or they will cover the costs or something, but it doesn’t work like that.

‘I think both of us now, if we could sit down and do it again, yeah, we’d do it completely differently, because we both spent a hell of a lot of money on divorce lawyers.

‘Me personally, £300,000 out of my own money that I didn’t even have.’

She then added: ‘I probably wouldn’t have gone down that route. I got someone to represent me that was equal to who was representing him.

‘I didn’t have £300,000 to pay for a divorce! I’m still paying for it.’

In the interview, the star added that she doesn’t think she will ever publicly reveal why she and Paddy chose to split.

‘I’ve never spoken about the reasons for our divorce, and I don’t know if I ever will. It was a difficult time. It wasn’t something that, you know, I just decided to do overnight, or that we chose to do.

‘We tried, and, yeah, there just, unfortunately, there was no repairing it, you know?

‘I’ll always, always love him as the father of the children, and I still live at home with him, which says a lot. We separated three years ago, and we are completely divorced, and we live in separate parts of the house, but we share a family home.’

Although Christine mentioned that the couple still shares a family home, it has recently been reported that Paddy has put their £ 6.5 million property up for sale.

The home boasts seven-bedrooms, six en-suite bathrooms, a huge array of commodities including its own gym, an orangery, and a kitchen diner.

Sources told MailOnline that the property has been put on sale for a huge amount deliberately so that it won’t sell.

‘It is so overpriced, Paddy doesn’t want to sell which seems like another tactic by him.

‘The house is on for two thirds more than what they paid for it, it will never sell. It all feels a bit like Paddy wanting to control the situation and keep Christine living in the house with him for longer.’

Hollywood actors are frequently required to change their accents on screen, and sometimes they do such a terrible job that we are compelled to remember it years afterwards.

American actors frequently get a bad rap for appearing in British films with some of the most bizarre accents ever heard on God’s green earth.

With so many accents across the UK, it can be a real challenge to pick up some of the more niche dialects, but it’s not just the American actors that struggle.

Unfortunately, so many of the best Hollywood actors have had some performances where they have spoken with an accent that can only be described as diabolical – and in some cases, almost offensive.

From Dick Van Dyke’s cockney accent in 1964’s Mary Poppins to Anne Hathaway’s Yorkshire accent in the 2011 film One Day, there are so many talented stars who have flubbed accents in great films.

Here are some of the best worst accents that have ever graced the silver screen…

Dick Van Dyke – Mary Poppins

Famously – or maybe infamously – Dick Van Dyke’s cockney accent in the 1964’s Mary Poppins was something that upset the people of Britain.

The actor has previously revealed that at the time of filming, he was unaware how terrible his accent really was.

‘People in the UK love to rib me about my accent, I will never live it down,’ he once said. ‘They ask what part of England I was meant to be from, and I say it was a little shire in the north where most of the people were from Ohio.’

‘I was working with an entire English cast and nobody said a word, not Julie [Andrews], not anybody said I needed to work on it so I thought I was alright.’

In 2017, the actor was chosen by Bafta to receive the Britannia Award for excellence in television. He took the opportunity to apologise to the people of the UK for his awful English accent.

‘I appreciate this opportunity to apologise to the members of Bafta for inflicting on them the most atrocious cockney accent in the history of cinema.’

Keanu Reeves -Bram Stoker’s Dracula

Despite giving a fabulous performance as Jonathan Harker in the 1992 film, Keanu Reeves’ diabolical English accent remains the thing that fans remember most about this gothic horror film.

The director, Francis Ford Coppola, reflected that he thinks the accent went so awry because the actor was trying so hard.

‘We knew that it was tough for him to affect an English accent,’ Coppola told Entertainment Weekly. ‘He tried so hard. That was the problem, actually – he wanted to do it perfectly, and in trying to do it perfectly, it came off as stilted.

‘I tried to get him to just relax with it and not do it so fastidiously. So maybe I wasn’t as critical of him, but that’s because I like him personally so much. To this day, he’s a prince in my eyes.’

Anne Hathaway – One Day

While playing Emma Morley in the 2011 film One Day opposite Jim Sturgess, the American actress gave a good go at a Yorkshire accent.

The film was still applauded, but her accent was not, with the accent claiming she watched a certain soap to help her tap into the dialect.

‘It was really hard,’ she admitted to the BBC. ‘I worked with a dialect coach and in the evenings I watched Emmerdale a lot.’

‘It was certainly helpful with the accent, that’s for sure.’

Anne later gave a much better RP English accent while in The Hustle with Rebel Wilson.

‘I found out I had to do it a week before we started shooting. I thought if I didn’t do it, it wouldn’t make a difference, but the director insisted,’ she told The Graham Norton Show while promoting the 2018 comedy film.

She then alluded to One Day: ‘I’ve done it before and it hasn’t always gone well, and it is so stressful to see someone struggle through an accent, so I got a dialect coach and made the best of it.’

Mischa Barton – St Trinian’s

The OC star Mischa Barton received a lot of flak for her posh English accent as she appeared as JJ French in St Trinian’s.

The actress has a strong American accent that found it’s way into her dialect as she played the’former Head Girl of St Trinian’s turned PR guru’.

Making matters worse for the actress, there was no reason for her to not have a perfect English accent, considering she was born (and raised until the age of six) in Hammersmith, London.

She also has an English father and Irish mother, suggesting she spent a fair bit of her upbringing around Brits.

Gerard Butler – P.S. I Love You

The Irish accent from the Scottish actor in P.S I Love You is one that baffled various Irish people who watched the 2007 romantic comedy.

The actor, who has been praised for many of his projects over the years, was mercilessly slammed by critics because of his dodgy accent, leading him to swear off ever speaking with the accent again.

Speaking to The Sun in 2016, Gerard joked: ‘After all those wonderful reviews and glorious feedback.’

He then indicated that he will never try an Irish accent again, saying: ‘I’ve ticked that box.’

In an interview with Irish host Paul Byrne of Movies Ireland, he apologised to all of Ireland for his accent.

‘I was hoping maybe they’d be quite forgiving of me, being a little Scottish boy whose whole family is Irish – ’cause they really are – my family is from all over Ireland.

‘I thought I’d just go in there and try my best, I notice that people when they bring it up – I get the feeling it wasn’t that great,’ he then added: ‘I’d like to apologise to the nation of Ireland for completely abusing your accent, I realise it’s a lot more beautiful accent than what I did.’

Leonardo DiCaprio – Blood Diamond

The American actor was apparently aiming for a Rhodesian (Zimbabwean) accent with a touch of South African when he appeared in Blood Diamond – but sadly missed the mark for a lot of fans.

In 2023, on an episode of The Daily Show, Trevor Noah slammed Leo’s African accent, saying that he sounded like a ‘drunk Australian’.

The actor himself, didn’t seem to think he did such a bad job.

‘I’m pretty good at imitating people. I interviewed a number of different people in South Africa and honed in on the one guy I wanted to sound like. Then it was a process where [dialect coach] Tim Monich and I recorded him and tortured him (laughs) by making him say sentences in varying ways and different energies and different tempos.

‘Those recordings became a kind of mantra I’d listen to over and over again,’ the actor told Time in 2006.

Brad Pitt – Meet Joe Black

Brad Pitt telling an old Jamaican woman ‘Everything gonna be irie’ in a Patois accent in Meet Joe Black was divisive to say the least, with some saying he nailed the tourist-y expectation, and others saying he missed the real thing by a long shot.

This accent had to be included as it’s just so unexpected in the film, and a highlight for anyone who sees the film, which earned Pitt a Razzie nomination for worst actor.

The actor later said of the film to Entertainment Weekly: ‘That was the pinnacle of my loss of direction and compass.’

Don Cheadle – Ocean’s 11

The American actor Don Cheadle played munitions expert Basher Tarr in the Ocean’s 11 franchise that was incredibly questionable.

Speaking about the accent to The Guardian, the star said that the director Steven Soderbergh told him he didn’t have to do the accent, but he insisted.

‘Steven said: “You don’t have to do it.” I said, “Well, that’s how you wrote him. I’ll try it.”‘

He joked that he could now claim that his character was simply undercover and doing a fake accent.

‘Now I can say “he was an American doing a British accent – you guys missed that?”‘

Russell Crowe – Robin Hood

Russell Crowe played Robin Hood in 2010 and was critiqued for his attempt at a Nottingham accent.

The Australian actor addressed his accent in 2018 when he replied to a tweet that read: ‘Of all the great showbiz mysteries that remain unsolved …. possibly the greatest ….what the f**k is Russell Crowe’s accent in Robin Hood ?’

The actor replied: ‘A child born in Barnsley, on his father’s death, taken to France at age 6, travels across Europe to the Middle East on foot, fights in the Third Crusade for Richard I.

‘Alongside men from all parts of Britain, Ireland and France & finally returns to England a man in his 40s.’

He also joked that Michael Parkinson inspired the accent: ‘Michael was the principal influence. At the time, he was the only person I knew from Barnsley and he certainly had travelled.

‘He kindly let me spend some hours in his company and record his voice.’

Sally Phillips has revealed that she was wary about appearing in the comedy show Miranda.

The 54-year-old actress, who’s set to appear in a new show called Austin, has been known for her impeccable comedic appearances in TV and films for decades after appearing in Bridget Jones, Smack the Pony, and Veep.

Despite her enormous success in various comedy shows, when asked if any roles required her to follow her gut, possibly against the advice of others, she said: ‘Yeah, I did with Miranda Hart’s show.

‘But not because I thought it was going to be a success, because I read that and I went, “That’s never gonna work but she’s a lovely girl and, you know, she needs a break, sure. No problem.”‘

The show was, of course, a huge success and saw Sally play Miranda’s school friend Tilly, best known for being posh and coming out with one-liners such as ‘Bear with!’

The sitcom ran from 2009 until 2015 and was nominated for several Baftas during its run.

Sally added that although many comedy shows seem to be fun to shoot, more often than not, the humour is lost after several hours of filming.

‘I mean, lots of comedy shows aren’t a laugh actually. Midsomer Murders, you have more of a laugh, but comedy shows are quite serious about being funny and not being too indulgent.’

Fortunately for Sally, filming her new heartwarming series Austin was in fact a ‘genuine laugh’.

‘This is genuinely loads of fun, and it feels new and fresh. And for me personally, I’m really happy to be able to – with my job – do something that I believe will make the world slightly better for my child.’

Sally has three sons from her marriage with Andrew Bermejo, and her eldest son, Olly, has Down syndrome and autism.

Austin also stars Ben Miller, 59, and Love on the Spectrum star Michael Theo, 31, who is neurodivergent – something which is key to the plot.

The series follows Julian (Ben), a newly-cancelled author on a book tour in Canberra, who discovers that he has a 28-year-old son named Austin, mid-book signing.

The season develops with Julian attempting redemption as he and his wife, Ingrid (Sally), get to know Austin, who has tracked down his father in hopes of forming a connection.

The eight-part comedy series was initially released in Australia in the summer of 2024 and is finally coming over to the UK.

The actress explained that she felt this representation of disability on screen was incredibly necessary right now.

‘I think disabled representation, it’s definitely been the poor cousin of race and gender. Also, disability hate crime is the one hate crime that is rising,’ she said.

‘And I really firmly believe in the power of especially television, weirdly, more than cinema, because with TV, you’re turning up in people’s homes.’

She added that the producers endeavoured to hire a neurodiverse team, and emphasised that there was no change in the on-set experience.

‘Ben’s wife Jess was producing, and she tried to get a neurodiverse crew as much as possible. So we were like, “Oh, this is so exciting about the neurodiverse crew.” The difference? None,’ she recalled.

‘So either all crews are neurodiverse anyway, or it’s just not such a big deal. Folks, news flash, it’s just not such a big deal.

‘So we’ve been excluding people for no good reason, assuming that things will be less professionally done.’

Sally continued: ‘I think that’s what’s so great about this, hopefully, people can just enjoy it as a comedy show. It’s not trying to be woke. It’s just trying to be entertaining. And Michael is a comic genius.’

Michael was invited to be a script consultant on the show and spoke to crew members about some of his real experiences with bullying to enhance the script.

The actor commented: ‘The suggestions I made as a script consultant were to suggest things that I would say, instead of what was in the script.

‘I would suggest alternative ways to phrase something and make other suggestions in terms of what could be done.’

The actor added that he hoped that the role might help people see him as more than just the character he played on screen.

‘I’m hoping that Austin will make UK audiences enjoy a show that is from overseas, but also portrays neurodiversity in a positive light and does not display stereotypes, and is something that everyone can enjoy for any age.

‘But also show people that I’m more than just Michael from Love On The Spectrum because I really want to be more than that.’

Austin is coming to BBC One and Player on April 4.

Gladiators is tragically not going to be on tonight, and fans are more than a little disappointed.

The latest episode of Gladiators season two has been pulled from the schedule on BBC One tonight.

Originally running from 1992 to 2000, Gladiators was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson on ITV, and now sees father-son duo Bradley and Barney Walsh at the helm.

The rebooted TV series isn’t set to finish until April – so fans are baffled as to why there isn’t an episode lined up for March 29.

Why is Gladiators not on tonight?

The reason behind this change in schedule is because of the FA Cup and quarter-final fixture between Brighton and Nottingham Forest.

The show announced earlier this week: ‘We’re back on your TV screens Saturday 5th April, when our Semi-Finals conclude 💥 In the meantime, catch up on every episode so far on @bbciplayer! #Gladiators.’

Fans were devastated by this announcement, with many unsure they could wait until April for a new episode.

‘No Apollo for 2 weeks? Noooo 😢,’ said donna1g1 on Instagram.

‘Get rid of the football. Gladiators is better!’ said kevsieboy.

‘I’m even more sad because Gladiators isn’t on tonight just because of stupid football,’ said amiemance.

‘What are we supposed to do without Sabre Saturdays??’ said mitchraf86.

When will Gladiators return?

The series is set to return in a week’s time on April 5 at 5.50pm.

The series is the tenth episode of season two and will be the end of the semi-finals

The episode synopsis reads: ‘Bradley and Barney Walsh return to host the all-action competition, as another set of contenders take on the Gladiators in five brutal events before they face the Eliminator.’

Which contenders are in the final?

Already confirmed to appear in the final is Amanda, a gym owner from Warrington, and Joe F from Scarborough.

The tenth episode of the season will determine who else will be in the final, but it’s between Mus and Nathan, and Zavia and Aneila.

When does Gladiators finish?

The grand final will air on April 12 and conclude the epic season, which has gripped fans.

The final episode will be the eleventh in the series, where one of the contenders will be crowned champion.

Gladiators returns to BBC One on Saturday, April 4, 2025.

Laurence Fishburne says Francis Ford Coppola was ‘disappointed’ by his lack of sexual experience, which was evident in his Apocalypse Now performance.

Fishburne, 63, is best known for his performances in The Matrix, John Wick, and Hannibal, and first came to prominence as a teen in Apocalypse Now.

The film was released in 1979 and saw the actor play the cocky 17-year-old South Bronx-born crewmember, Tyrone ‘Mr. Clean’ Miller.

The actor was just 14 when he took part in the film and revealed that his lack of sexual experience became an issue during one scene of the film that had to be cut.

‘There’s a scene in Apocalypse Now that got cut from the original film, and then it’s been put back in the redux,’ he revealed.

‘I was 14, 15, whatever, trying to do this scene talking about sex, and I had no sexual experience. Like, none,’ he said in Apple TV+’s new documentary Number One on the Call Sheet: Black Leading Men in Hollywood.

He said the director ‘couldn’t figure out how to get me to be any more experienced than I am, but he kept asking me to do it over and over again.’

He revealed that even though the scene was cut, he was asked to shoot it dozens of times, and could tell the director was ‘disappointed’.

‘I did something like 40 takes. It was really bad. And I could tell that he was disappointed. So I was feeling really, really down, really dejected.’

Despite this negative interaction, the incident clearly didn’t tarnish their relationship, as Laurence went on to appear in several of Coppola’s other films such as Rumble Fish, The Cotton Club, Gardens of Stone, and most recently, Megalopolis.

The synopsis for Apocalypse Now reads: ‘A US Army officer serving in Vietnam is asked to kill a rogue colonel who has established himself as a god among the tribals in Cambodia.’

The film had a $31.5 million budget (£24.3 million) and smashed the box office, making $104.8–150 million (£80 – £116 million).

The film is jam-packed with talent and stars Harrison Ford,  Robert Duvall, Frederic Forrest, Albert Hall, and Sam Bottoms.

Coppola is widely considered one of the best directors of all time, but his comeback film Megalopolis – a Roman-inspired epic set in an imagined modern America – was met with excruciating reviews when it premiered at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.

The film starring Adam Driver was dubbed the ‘worst film of 2024’ and lost tens of millions at the box office.

Jeremy Clarkson has promised to urinate on a pub goer who feels he is being overcharged for pints of beer.

The Clarkson’s Farm star 64, is the proud owner of a popular pub The Farmer’s Dog, which reportedly cost £1,000,000 and opened its doors in August.

The pub was founded following the success of the star’s Diddly Squat farm and shop and has drawn in thousands of fans to the Oxfordshire area.

In a new column, the journalist took aim at a ‘man on social media whom he hates’ as he threatened to urinate on the man in retaliation for his dirty protests.

‘There’s a man on social media whom I hate,’ he began in his column for The Sun.

‘If he feels he’s been overcharged for a pint at a pub, he goes into the lavatory and films himself urinating all over the floor and in the sink.

‘He probably thinks he’s a class warrior, fighting the good fight on behalf of the little man. But he isn’t.

‘He’s just being annoying and if I find out who he is, I shall go round to his house and urinate on him.’

Since opening his pub, Clarkson has revealed his fears over making profits, amid backlash over the prices of food and merchandise.

He explained in his column that he is struggling to turn over a profit, despite the pub’s popularity, and he is going to have to put up the prices.

‘It’s permanently packed. We are serving five or six hundred people a day with lunch and dinner. And on a sunny day, there are hundreds more in the garden, having a pint and a burger.

‘But despite this, I am losing money.’

He explained the various taxes he is now facing on his own-brand beer, Hawksmoor, plus on national insurance and minimum wage.

‘The only solution is to increase prices, which is why the average price of a pint across the country is now perilously close to £5.

‘Back in August, I offered a Sunday carvery for £20 but that’s simply not doable any more.

‘Because not one single person in the Government has ever set up or run a business, we had to take that up to £24. And soon, it will have to go up again.

He joked: ‘And when that happens, we will doubtless get a visit from our TikTok friend who will signal his displeasure by urinating all over the floor.’

The star has been open about his pub’s financial struggles and earlier this month gave away kegs of beer which helped him ‘avoid financial ruin’.

He took to Instagram in a video, saying: ‘Welcome to The Farmer’s Dog, it’s a pub I’ve had for about six months now, and I’ve worked out it is a brilliant way of turning £100 into about £94 using nothing but costings.

‘The only thing that is saving me from financial ruin is the fact that we serve Hawkstone lager and Hawkstone cider.

Starring Adam Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, and Patricia Arquette, the series focused on a group of employees who had their brains ‘severed’ so they would have a complete split in their home self and their work self.

The extreme version of a work-life balance of course, led to some disastrous outcomes, with Lumon – their employer – becoming more suspicious in every episode.

The finale thrilled fans and made them all the more desperate for Severance season 3, with hopes that they won’t have to wait for years (again) between seasons.

But for those who can’t wait for another thrill-ride in the form of a third season, here are some films to stream this weekend instead.

The Truman Show

The Truman Show is a psychological comedy-drama film starring Jim Carrey as a man named Truman Burbank who is living on a film set, the catch? Truman has no idea his life is a televised show.

The twisty psychological film follows Truman as he begins to question his friends and family, and the illusion begins to crumble as he grows more and more suspicious.

The film earned a 94% ranking on Rotten Tomatoes and was a smash at the box office with people who loved the original concept.

The Truman Show is available to stream on Paramount and Amazon Prime.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind stars Kate Winslet and Jim Carrey as Joel and Clementine, a couple who undergo an operation to remove the memories of their past relationship after a breakup.

The film picks up a variety of themes from Severance, including the important question: do memories make us who we are?

The movie is a surrealist science fiction romantic drama film that was a box office smash and earned Kate Winslet an Academy Award nomination for best actress.

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is available to stream on Netflix.

The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

Starring Ben Stiller, the creator and director of Severance, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty follows a negative assets manager at Life magazine who is a chronic daydreamer.

The story follows his quest to find a missing negative print and its elusive photojournalist.

This film is also directed by Ben Stiller and shares the same comedy-drama tone, exploring the same questions about existence and finding a balance between work and life.

Being John Malkovich

Being John Malkovich is a 1999 film that blends comedy and fantasy and stars John Cusack, Cameron Diaz, and Catherine Keener, with John Malkovich as a satirical version of himself.

The film follows a puppeteer who finds a portal that leads into John Malkovich’s mind and decides he can exploit the portal for a profit.

The surreal film received widespread acclaim, with many praising the cast and director Spike Jonze for his original vision.

Being John Malkovich is available to stream on Now.

Memento

Memento is a psychological thriller from Christopher Nolan that follows Leonard Shelby (played by Guy Pearce), a man who is attempting to find the person who killed his wife.

The catch? Leonard has anterograde amnesia following the death of his wife and has short-term memory loss and is unable to form new memories. This means he is using tattoos, photographs, and notes to help him try to uncover the killer.

The film was a hit at the box office and was met with huge critical acclaim, earning a 94% ranking on Rotten Tomatoes.

Memento is available to stream on Channel 4.

They Cloned Tyrone

Starring John Boyega as Fontaine, this 2023 American science fiction comedy mystery film follows a trio who accidentally stumble upon a concerning government-led conspiracy.

The drug dealer (Boyega), pimp (Jamie Foxx), and sex worker (Teyonah Parris) must work together to understand the secret lab under their city and top-secret cloning experiment that has something to do with mind-control and racism in their town.

The film has a 95% ranking from Rotten Tomatoes and rave reviews from critics who loved this original and well-executed concept.

They Cloned Tyrone is available to stream on Netflix.

Before I Go To Sleep

Starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth, Before I Go To Sleep focuses on Christine Lucas (Kidman), a woman with severe brain trauma who wakes up next to a man she doesn’t know.

The man is her husband,d and she learns that a car accident left her unable to make new memories.

Each day as Christine tries to piece her life back together, she becomes more suspicious about her surroundings as gaps and lies begin to unfold.

The psychological thriller was released in 2014 and received very mixed results from critics. The critics’ consensus suggests that although the film falls into some thriller cliches it is a stylish, fast-paced, and well-acted watch.

Before I Go To Sleep is available to stream on Netflix and ITVX.

Paul O’Grady’s widower, André Portasio, has opened up about the loss of his husband as he marks the second anniversary of his death.

The presenter and TV host died aged 67 on March 28, 2023, from a sudden cardiac arrhythmia.

His death shocked fans, as his husband revealed that he died in their kitchen in their home in Kent.

Portasio has revealed that two years on from O’Grady’s death, he is constantly asking his late husband to guide him as he has to make ‘difficult decisions’.

‘I have been ok,’ he told The Mirror. ‘Life just continues. Paul is always in my mind. I’ve had to make so many difficult decisions now.

‘I am selling the house, and you just hope he is there to guide me. Am I doing the right thing, am I not?’

Portasio revealed that on the anniversary of O’Grady’s death, his phone reminded him of a video that his husband had taken just 20 minutes before he passed.

‘I went to bed and I looked at my phone and it showed a featured picture. I didn’t recognise what it was, and then when it came up I was like “oh my god.” I had totally forgotten about it. I thought it was a nice thing to share with his fans.’

Portasio shared the video on Instagram and captioned the post: ‘It’s incredible how our minds can shield us from the pain of loss in moments of shock. Today, my iPhotos reminded me of a lost video I recorded of Paul just 20 minutes before he sadly passed—what became the last recording he ever made to camera.

‘In this bittersweet moment, you see him as the genuinely kind man he was, expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone for supporting his book, which he recorded for an award ceremony he couldn’t attend. It’s hard to believe it’s been two years since his passing. All the while, he’s surrounded by his beloved dogs. We miss you dearly @paulogrady. Happy heavenly birthday!’

In the video Paul was seen cuddling up to his dog Eddie and talking about how his pets inspired the book he was thanking fans for reading.

He concluded the video with what would be his final ever message to fans as he said: ‘Anyway, once again, thank you so much. I really appreciate it. Look after yourselves.’

Portasio told The Mirror that he frequently watches videos back of his late husband as it helps him to remember.

‘I normally enjoy watching videos of him. Sometimes I get upset but mostly I laugh about them. He was so funny. It also helps me to remember how funny and genuine and upbeat he was.”

The couple was together for 17 years and tied the knot in 2017 after dating for 11 years.

Portasio was a former professional ballet dancer who had performed with the English National Ballet and met the comedian in 2006.

In his 2012 autobiography Still Standing, O’Grady said that neither he or Portasio expected to fall in love: ‘Our relationship just crept up on us. It took us by surprise when we were least expecting it.’

Love Actually was actually a family affair as Hugh Grant discovered during filming that one of his co-stars was a relative.

The Richard Curtis flick, starring Keira Knightley, Emma Thompson, Andrew Lincoln, Bill Nighy, Liam Neeson and Martine McCutcheon, first hit the big screen on November 14, 2003.

The film became a festive classic over the years, with families falling in love with the various storylines and the all-star cast.

Adding to the lore surrounding the film, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, 34, who played Liam Neeson’s love-struck stepson Sam, who fell in love with an American classmate, revealed that he is related to Hugh Grant.

‘His grandmother and my great-grandmother are sisters… [Hugh] didn’t know,’ the actor told ITV’s Lorraine in November.

He revealed that he told Hugh about their ties on set, and earned a sweet nickname from the star.

‘I said, “Apparently, you are my uncle or my cousin or something”. Then he kind of remembered my mum and uncle. 

‘So, for the rest of the shoot, he went round saying “Hello cousin”. That felt quite cool.’ 

He added: ‘He referred to me as “little cousin” while filming. He’d come and ruffle my hair.’

Thomas was 13 when the film was released in November 2003, while KieraKnightley was 18 when she was playing the newlywed character Juliet.

The five-year age gap between the characters has baffled fans who couldn’t believe that the actors were so close in age but looked so different in the series.

Thomas went on to appear in several films and TV shows, including Game of Thrones, Nanny McPhee, The Queen’s Gambit, the Maze Runner franchise, and The Artful Dodger.

He played Paul McCartney in Nowhere Boy and was also the voice of Ferb in the popular TV series Phineas and Ferb.

In June 2024, the actor married fellow actor Talulah Riley, 39, best known for her work in St Trinians, Inception, Pride and Prejudice and The Boat That Rocked.

The couple is believed to have met when they starred together in the 2022 biographical series Pistol, with Thomas playing Sex Pistols manager Malcolm McLaren and Talulah depicting fashion legend Vivienne Westwood.

Talulah was previously married to Tesla CEO and X chair Elon Musk, with the former couple marrying twice before their second divorce was finalised in 2016.

Announcing her engagement on X, Talulah said: ‘Very happy to share that after two years of dating, Thomas Brodie Sangster and I are engaged!’

Her ex-husband Elon reacted to the news replying ‘Congratulations!’ along with a red heart.

When Thomas announced his engagement to Talulah, he quoted Love Actually in a sweet post on social media: ‘Happy to announce that Talulah and I are engaged. Love is all around X.’

The pair tied the knot in a private ceremony in St George’s Church in Anstey, Herts.

Following the wedding it was reported that the couple bought a Grade II-listed manor house.

Dame Esther Rantzen’s daughter has revealed that the ‘amazing’ new drug that was delaying the spread of her mother’s cancer is no longer working.

The 84-year-old broadcaster revealed in 2023 that she had been diagnosed with stage four lung cancer.

The long-time activist and founder of charities Childline and The Silver Line, was told at one point that she only had weeks to live and worried she wouldn’t see Christmas that year.

In a sad new update, the star’s daughter has revealed that the miracle drug she was taking is no longer helping.

Dame Esther’s daughter, Rebecca Wilcox, was asked during an interview with 5 News ifthe drug was causing an ‘improvement.’

To which she sadly replied: ‘I really wish that was true but I don’t think that’s the case anymore.’

Dame Esther has been open about her support for the assisted dying bill.

When asked about what will happen if the Assisted Dying Bill remains unchanged, and euthanasia is still illegal in the UK, she said she will travel to Switzerland.

‘I will go to Dignitas in Zurich for an assisted death, which I hope will be quick and kind and merciful and easy.

‘And then, I shall come back and haunt the Members of Parliament that haven’t changed our law yet.’

Speaking about her mother’s support of the bill, Wilcoz said in the interview that she hoped people could sympathise with her mother’s situation.

‘I just wish that people understood that all the assisted dying bill is, is a choice for people that want it.

‘All it is, is giving you peace of mind and that peace of mind, I cannot tell you how powerful that would be right now for my mum.

‘I’m a witness to the trauma of uncertainty, to the trauma of stress around what is going to happen.

‘The fact that she doesn’t know how her death is going to happen, how the pain is going to progress, the exhaustion, the fatigue, what symptoms are going to come in.

‘She is a person who has fought her whole life for other people, and she has no control now.’

In February, Dame Esther opened up about her ideal final moments in an interview with LBC Radio.

‘I’d like to fly off to Zurich with my nearest and dearest. Have a fantastic dinner the night before,’ she began.

‘I’d love caviar, if possible, and the fact that it doesn’t always agree with me doesn’t matter, does it? 

‘I could even have champagne, which I’m deeply allergic to. Then the next day, go to this rather unappealing place where they do it.

‘Listen to a favourite piece of music, say goodbye to everybody. Tell them to cheer up.’

She added: ‘I’m meeting my late husband, my departed dog, and my mother at the pearly gates.’

The iconic diamond necklace worn by Julia Roberts with the red dress actually arrived on set with two bodyguards.

This week marks the film’s 35th anniversary which stunned the world and was Disney’s highest-grossing R-rated movie, grossing $463 million (£357 million) at the global box office.

Roberts, 57, stars as Vivian Ward, a young prostitute working Hollywood Boulevard who ends up spending the week with rich millionaire Edward Lewis (Richard Gere) after giving him directions.

One iconic moment in the film shows Vivian dressed in a stunning red gown for a night at the opera and being presented with a beautiful ruby and diamond necklace from Gere.

Varying reports suggest that the cost of the necklace was around $150,000 to $250,000 (£116,000 – £193,000) at the time, making its cost today rather a lot more.

Speaking to Metro, Dan Lester, who worked as the costume supervisor on the film, revealed that the stunning piece had to be ushered onto set with two bodyguards.

‘That necklace that she wore with the red dress, that was from a jewelry store called Fred’s, I think in Beverly Hills. I think the studio had reached out to them.

‘That day that she wore it we had to go to pick up the jewelry, and I had to sign for it, and then two security guards with me, and they spent the entire day on the set.’

‘And then at the end of the draft, they took them back to the store.’

When asked about the cost at the time, Dan guessed: ‘I don’t but I want to say, like, $150,000, something like that.’

‘It was a lot of money at the time, and I’d already worked on loan movies, and I’d never spent time with security guards before, so that was just interesting.’

Famously, when Edward presents Vivian with the necklace, he playfully snaps her fingers in the box, which results in a huge laugh from Julia, who was caught off-guard by this moment.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight many years ago, Garry Marshall commented: ‘She’s kid, so she goes out and parties, and sometimes she parties late and she comes to work and she’s a little sleepy. I said, ‘Richard, you gotta wake her up a little, so when she reaches for the box, slam it.”‘ …”

‘When she laughs, the whole world lights up. So it was a prank, we’d use it for the gag reel, but everyone who saw the gag reel and said, “that was really good.”

‘It was that last minute we put it in the movie and it became the trademark of the movie.’

Dan also debunked a rumour that several different colour dresses were made in place of the famous red dress in the scene.

He explained that the costume designer, Marilyn Vance, received push back about the red dress, so they camera tested swatches, not entire dresses.

‘We didn’t make dresses in a bunch of colors. What we did do was bring in fabrics in silks. We dyed them in a range of colors that Marilyn liked, and we camera tested them on Julia.

‘We just put the fabric, wrapped it around her, and did a camera test.’

He explained that while there was an argument for a shade of blue or a different shade of red, the costume designer was certain the bold red was the right move.

‘Marilyn fought for that shade of red. There were some blues, like bold ones. But we camera tested quite a lot, mostly, but Marylin wanted red.’

Dan also revealed that, thankfully, there were barely any costume mistakes in the film.

‘I watched the movie a year or so ago. It looks good. There aren’t too many mistakes. There were some mismatches on set.

‘I think it was with Richard, like the top button was done, and then it was undone, something like that in one of the scenes.’

He explained it was likely when he was back from lunch, and something that should have been caught by the various people working on set.

‘I mean, there are a lot of people looking at stuff and on every movie that happens somewhere, and you don’t really notice till dailies!’

The actor, 57, is set to take on a new action-packed role in A Working Man, an action thriller film directed by David Ayer, and co-written by Sylvester Stallone.

The synopsis reads: ‘Levon Cade left behind a decorated military career in the black ops to live a simple life of working construction.

The Taken-esque style movie has created a lot of excitement online, and in a new marketing campaign move, a LinkedIn page has been made for Jason Statham’s character.

The profile is in Jason’s name with his current role described as ‘A Working Man/ Solider of Fortune at Self Employed)

The profile nods to some of the actors most famous former roles such as The Beekeeper and The Transporter : ‘Open to work: Construction Foreman, Transporter, Mechanic, Secret Agent and Beekeeper roles.’

The profile continues: ‘I’m a working man looking for a new employment opportunity. I keep my head down and my nose clean, but when the powerful hurt the powerless, I can’t stand by and do nothing.

Fans are totally baffled by the revelation that the Passion of Christ is coming back for a sequel.

Directed and co-written by Mel Gibson, the 2004 film The Passion of Christ was a smash hit that made $612.1 million (£473.7 million) at the box office against a budget of $31 million (£30 million).

The film starred Jim Caviezel as Jesus and focuses on the hours leading to Jesus’ crucifixion and ending with a brief description of his resurrection.

It has just been announced that filming for the new film will begin in August, with many fans only just learning that the film was getting a sequel.

Despite the first film being a total smash hit, many expressed major concern about a sequel.

Namely questioning how on earth the story could be continued with the same cast 21 years after the first film.

‘I can’t understand why part 2. What are they trying to explain if the whole story was told in the original movie,’ said cubanmom_8997.

‘He already got resurrected once, what’s the plot this time?’ said debayo_xx.

‘There ain’t no way, what more to the story could you possibly need to put into a film,’ said CouchesLLC.

Other fans rightly speculated that the film would be focusing on Jesus’s resurrection, but with many asking how this would work with a significantly older cast, considering the resurrection took place three days after the crucifixion.

‘After more than 23 years, will he still look the same. Jim Caviezel will have to pull this off one way or the other because he’ll surely look older now,’ said MrChikay.

‘Dang! Took them a lot longer than 3 days to make a sequel,’ said colin_gladman.

‘I know it’s about the resurrection, but…. I just struggle to understand what the entertainment factor would be in that part of the story?’ said MovieMediaX.

Fans also pointed out that another glaring problem was that Jesus was still being played by a white actor.

‘Why is there a white man portraying Jesus? (Who was born in the Middle East btw)’ said andrygr7ve.

‘They still refuse to make Christ the way he’s supposed to look lol,’ said AWALBAYAREA.

The star-studded original cast included Maia Morgenstern as Mary, the mother of Jesus, Monica Bellucci as Mary Magdalene, and Christo Jivkov as John.

As Caviezel has been confirmed to return to the role, it is speculated that the rest of the cast is set to follow suit for this blockbuster.

Speaking to Joe Rogan on his podcast, Gibson spoke about the upcoming sequel and hopes for a 2026 release date.

‘I’m hoping next year sometime. There’s a lot required because it’s an acid trip. I’ve never read anything like it,’ he said.

‘It’s about finding the way in that’s not cheesy or too obvious,’ he said. ‘I think I have ideas about how to do that and how to evoke things and emotions in people from the way you depict it and the way you shoot it. So I’ve been thinking about it for a long time. It’s not going to be easy and it’s going to require a lot of planning and I’m not wholly sure I can pull it off to tell you the truth, it’s super ambitious. But I’ll take a crack at it because that’s what you got to do, right, walk up to the plate, right?’

Gal Gadot will reportedly have a beefed-up security team provided by Disney after she received death threats over her pro-Israel stance amid the Israel-Hamas war.

The Israeli actress, 39, stars as the Evil Queen in the upcoming Disney movie Snow White and has faced calls for a boycott from pro-Palestinian activists who have criticised her casting.

The Wonder Woman star has publicly advocated for Israel over the years, while co-star Rachel Zegler has made her support for Palestine clear.

While directly promoting the film as she thanked fans for their ‘love’ in response to the trailer in the summer, before adding on X: ‘And always remember, free Palestine.’

This tweet from Zegler allegedly led to a spike in hate towards Gadot.

It has now been reported that Gadot is facing death threats from fans because of her beliefs, and reports have suggested Disney has upped her security after concerns for the star.

Variety reported: ‘ Disney had to pay for additional security for the mother of four.’

An insider also told the outlet that Zegler hadn’t realised the ramifications of her tweet: ‘She didn’t understand the repercussions of her actions as far as what that meant for the film, for Gal, for anyone.’

In October 2023, the Israeli actress voiced her support for her country after Hamas launched an attack at the Nova Music Festival, which killed 364 people.

Gadot shared on Instagram: ‘I stand with Israel you should too.

‘The world cannot sit on the fence when these horrific acts of terror are happening!’

In 2021, she also called for an end of conflict: ‘My Heart breaks. My country is at war. I worry for my family, my friends. I worry for my people. 

‘This is a viscous cycle that has been going on far too long. Israel deserves to live as a free and safe nation, our neighbours deserve the same.’ 

‘I pray for the victims and their families, I pray for this unimaginable hostility to end, I pray for our leaders to find the solution so we could live side by side in peace. 

‘I pray for better days.’ 

This is just one of the Snow White controversies, as the film has been plagued by several issues.

Game Of Thrones star Peter Dinklage branded the studio ‘backwards’ for their decision to remake Snow White.

‘Take a step back and look at what you’re doing there. It makes no sense to me,’ the actor, who has a common form of dwarfism known as achondroplasia, said on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast in January 2022.

The actor argued that Disney was ‘progressive in one way’ and yet still making a ‘backwards story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together’.

Disney clarified the film was ‘taking a different approach with these seven characters’ and had been ‘consulting with members of the dwarfism community’ in order to ‘avoid reinforcing stereotypes from the original animated film’.

Director Marc Webb opted to portray the dwarf characters using CGI, which was met with controversy from actors with dwarfism who claimed the decision was detrimental to their careers.

Snow White has also had a brutal box office opening, raking in just $43 million (£33.3 million) in its opening weekend.

To put into perspective, the budget for the film was $209 million (£162 million) and the big live-action remakes have typically raked in well above $ 50 million.

Live Action films raking in the big bucks included The Jungle Book ($103.2 million), Beauty and the Beast ($174.7 million), Aladdin ($91.5 million), and The Little Mermaid ($95.5 million).

Snow White has even made less than Dumbo which earned just $45.9 million (£35.6 million).

Snow White is in cinemas now.

Joshua Blackledge, a 16-year-old TikToker, has suddenly died, with his family and friends paying tribute.

An obituary has revealed that the influencer died on March 18, at his home in Newport, North Carolina, but his cause of death has not been shared.

He had over one million followers on social media, and many of his videos showed him spending time with friends and his girlfriend.

The star was a junior at West Carteret High School, and his obituary revealed that he was ‘ involved in wrestling and track’ at school.

The tribute continued: ‘He had a passion for the outdoors and loved being around water, whether fishing or boating with friends. He also had a love for cars and trucks.

‘At home, Joshua liked helping his mom with cooking, gardening, and yard work. He had an energetic spirit and was known for his entertaining nature, often impressing others with backflips.

‘Joshua will be remembered by those who knew him for his enthusiasm and love for life. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.’

The star was often seen with his girlfriend Emmie Gillikin.

‘Missing this sweet boy right now. never would’ve thought i would have been here without you,’ Gillikin shared on social media on March 20.

‘Josh showed me what love really was even [though] im very young. he never failed to put a smile on my face no matter how mad i was at him … Even after these past couple days nothing seems real and im feeling all the emotions.’

Fans are devastated and have taken to social media and his online obituary to pay tribute to the late star.

‘We never knew you josh but we always watched you you looked so kind and sweet and we will never forget you are so so deeply missed josh and I am so so glad you are in a better place then here LLJ💚💚🕊️’ said Layla and Mackenzie on the online tribute site.

‘Knowing that Joshua is not here anymore it breaks my heart and we all miss him so much,’ said Henny.

‘to Josh’s family and friends im so very sorry for your loss I wish I could’ve spoke to josh a few more times but the times we did he was such a respectable person I can see with all the tributes how loved he was and will continue to be my condolences to everyone affected by this Rest In Peace Josh -umrob820,’ said Robert.

The BBC has censored the Spice Girls’ hit song Spice Up Your Life due to a certain line.

Spice Up Your Life was a massive hit when it was released in 1997 and sung by the band comprised of Mel B, Melanie C, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Victoria Beckham.

The song was one of their top five best-selling songs from the band and charted in the top 20 for six weeks and the top 40 for 12.

The song was an undeniable hit and is still being played on the radio – but an edited version.

Radio 2, among other stations,is now playing a censored version of the Spice Girls hit, with the word ‘yellow’ removed when playing on Scott Mills’ Breakfast show. 

The lyric was: ‘Yellow man in Timbuktu. Colour for both me and you.’

A music insider told The Sun: ‘Spice Up Your Life is a piece of pop music history — it’s baffling that the Beeb have decided to censor it.

‘The [band] are singing in celebration of people from all walks of life. It’s clumsy but not insulting. 

‘There haven’t been calls to change it so it’s odd they have decided to do so.’

A Radio 2 representative told The Sun that the edit was not made by them and other UK stations are also playing a censored version of the song.

In 2019, the group apparently considered replacing ‘yellow man’ with ‘happy man’ while they were on a reunion tour.

However, this was scrapped, and the band sang the original lyrics on stage.

In a Doctor Who episode in 2023, the lyric was also censored as characters spoke over the lyrics.

The band is rumoured to be looking at another reunion, this time with all five of the bandmates, after Victoria decided to stay out of the 2019 reunion.

In February 2025, Melanie C dropped a huge update on the highly anticipated reunion, vowing she’s ready to ‘start planning’ it.

Speaking to Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1: ‘There has to be something befitting of 30 years since Wannabe.

‘Once a Spice Girl, always a Spice Girl. We all feel like that, but we now are getting together because we know if we’re going to do anything, we have to start planning things to get things right.

‘We have to start making the plans right now and putting them into action. So fingers crossed.’

Don’t Worry Darling, starring Florence Pugh and Harry Styles, is set to come to Netflix after being haunted by reported backstage drama throughout its press run.

The 2022 Olivia Wilde-directed psychological thriller, which follows a 1950s housewife (Pugh) who starts to become unnerved by her picture-perfect husband and closed community, when it seems that not everything is as it seems.

The film was met with mixed reviews and much of the attention from the film was caught up in the backstage drama on the set that was well reported at the time.

Among the various rumours was a feud between the director and the leading character in the film.

It was reported that Wilde would frequently be absent from set, which frustrated Pugh and it was reported that the tensions culminated in a screaming match on set, as reported by Vulture.

Wilde praised Pugh publicly and blamed the tabloids for the reports of a fallout.

Pugh did not address the fallout claims and a report said that she would be ‘limiting press’ – although it was said this was down to the actress’s filming commitments on Dune 2, which she was filming in Budapest at the time of Venice Film Festival.

Another controversy arose as Shia LaBeouf was replaced by Harry Styles.

Wilde addressed LaBeouf’s departure, saying that he had been let go from the project.

‘His process was not conducive to the ethos that I demand in my productions. He has a process that, in some ways, seems to require a combative energy, and I don’t personally believe that is conducive to the best performances. I believe that creating a safe, trusting environment is the best way to get people to do their best work. Ultimately, my responsibility is to the production and to the cast to protect them. That was my job,’ she told Variety.

However, LaBeouf denied the claims, claiming that he was the one to decide to walk away from the project and even was able to show proof of texts as evidence.

Variety reported that the actor reached out in the days after their interview with Wilde was published, and forwarded them an email he had sent to the director where he said he was ‘confused by the narrative that I was fired.’

The next drama took place in April 2022 when Wilde was served divorce papers from her husband Jason Sudekis while on stage.

While at a presentation at CinemaCon, Wilde was handed an envelope which was reported to contain legal documents from Sudeikis.

Wilde later told Variety: ‘It was my workplace.

‘In any other workplace, it would be seen as an attack. It was really upsetting. It shouldn’t have been able to happen. There was a huge breach in security, which is really scary.

‘The hurdles that you had to jump through to get into that room with several badges, plus special Covid tests that had to be taken days in advance, which gave you wristbands that were necessary to gain access to the event — this was something that required forethought.’

She went on to say: ‘There’s a reason I left that relationship.’

Another controversy arrived as actress Kiki Layne claims she and co-star Ari’el Stachel were ‘cut from most of the movie’

 The actress who played Margaret in the film shared on Instagram: ‘The best thing about #DontWorryDarling is that I was lucky enough to meet @arielstachel. They cut us from most of the movie, but we thriving in real life. 🙂🙂

‘‘Love you Ari ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #GotMyCheck #GotMyMan #EverythingHappensforaReason.’

Along with all of this drama, there was also a (false) claim that Chris Pine spat on Styles during a Venice Film Festival panel. This was later proved to be totally false, but it exemplified how high the tensions were around this film that fans believed this story.

WIlde and Styles also began a relationship during this time which was met with a huge amount of media attention- adding only more drama into the mix.

The reviews surrounding the film were mixed, with the film only earning a 38% ranking on Rotten Tomatoes.

The critic’s consensus for the movie reads: ‘Despite an intriguing array of talent on either side of the camera, Don’t Worry Darling is a mostly muddled rehash of overly familiar themes.’

The audience ranking was higher with 74%, with a consensus that reads: ‘The ending isn’t for everyone, but the cast — especially Florence Pugh — helps Don’t Worry Darling make the most of a story with fairly few surprises.’

Don’t Worry Darling is set to arrive on Netflix on April 2.

Stacey Solomon and Joe Swash have opened up about their plans for their fortune and how they won’t be giving their children millions.

Stacey, 35, and Joe, 43, share six children, Stacey’s two children Zachary, 16, and Leighton, 12, plus Joe’s son from a previous relationship, Harry, 17.

The couple also has three younger children together: Rex, five, Rose, three, and two-year-old Belle.

In a new interview about their new reality TV series Stacey & Joe, the couple revealed that they want their children to make their own money, and won’t just be handing over huge sums.

‘We don’t have inherited wealth that we can pass down for generations,’ Stacey told The Mirror.

‘It’s really important for them to know that this is our career and we will support our family in whichever way we can, but eventually they are their own person.’

It has previously been reported that Stacey has an estimated net worth of £5 million, while a few years ago it was reported that Joe was worth around £1.5 million.

She explained that this is why she wants her children to earn their pocket money and wants her children to inherit her work ethic.

‘They’re going to have their own lives and they need to have their own dreams, careers and that doesn’t come from us giving them everything. It’s a constant battle.

She added that sometimes she wants to ‘throw the towel in’ with her older children, but still makes it work.

She added that she learned from her parents that it is important to teach children to be excited by the prospect of earning and being financially independent.

‘My dad didn’t treat us any differently, as soon as we got jobs, we had to contribute to the household,’ shares Stacey.

She explained that her children are aware they won’t have huge sums simply handed to them.

‘They’re fully aware that it’s not going to be given to them, and we don’t have it to give. That is really important to me.’

She then added that it’s about a more important lesson to make sure they have ‘self-worth’ and ‘feel accomplished.’

She added: ‘It’s very difficult to go through life without needing anything or wanting anything.

‘I don’t want to leave them in that position.’

In addition to their net worth, it has been reported that Stacey has a £8 million business portfolio.

The couple owns the sprawling Essex mansion they have named Pickle Cottage, which was reportedly worth £1.2million when they purchased it.

The property has undergone significant renovations since it was purchased in 2022, which have been documented on Stacey’s social media pages.

Hamdan Ballal has spoken out about being targeted after being ‘handcuffed, blindfolded, and beaten’ while detained by the Israeli military.

The director, who won an Oscar this year for No Other Land for best documentary feature, was attacked by 10 to 20 Israeli settlers earlier this week.

Ballal’s co-director, Yuval Abraham, tweeted on X: ‘A group of settlers just lynched Hamdan Ballal, co-director of our film No Other Land.

‘They beat him and he has injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called, and took him. No sign of him since.’

Although the director was later set free, he has now spoken about the ordeal, claiming he was deliberately targeted and believed he was going to die.

‘They threw me to the ground, and the settler started hitting me on the head. Then a soldier also began beating me; with the butt of his rifle, he struck me on the head. After that, he fired his weapon in the air. I don’t understand Hebrew, but I gathered that he said the next rifle shot would hit me. In that moment, I thought I was going to die,’ he told The Guardian.

He added: ‘It was a revenge for our movie. I heard the voices of the soldiers, they were laughing about me … I heard [the word] “Oscar”.’

A spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces denied to the outlet that Ballal was beaten in detention.

‘The claims that the detainees were beaten during the night at an IDF detention facility were found to be entirely baseless.

‘IDF forces facilitated medical treatment for the detainees after the initial transfer of the suspects to the Israel police, and throughout the night, the detainees remained in a military detention facility while handcuffed in accordance with operational protocol.’

It was reported that the filmmaker was blindfolded and detained in the Israeli-occupied West Bank area.

Just hours before his release, Abraham revealed on X: ‘After the assault, Hamdan was handcuffed and blindfolded all night in an army base while two soldiers beat him up on the floor, his lawyer Leah Tsemel said after speaking with him just now. He’s still held in the Kiryat Arba police station.’

Abraham shared videos on X of the alleged attackers, claiming the group continues to target American activists.

A witness who saw the scene told The New York Times: ‘Soldiers just stood around,’ he added: ‘Later, when we got there, we saw his blood on the ground.’

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) told Sky News: ‘Several terrorists hurled rocks at Israeli citizens, damaging their vehicles near Susya.’

They reported that there was ‘mutual rock-hurling between Palestinians and Israelis at the scene.

‘In response, the forces apprehended three Palestinians suspected of hurling rocks at them, as well as an Israeli civilian involved in the violent confrontation. The detainees were taken for further questioning by the Israeli police. An Israeli citizen was injured in the incident and was evacuated to receive medical treatment.

‘Contrary to claims, no Palestinian was apprehended from inside an ambulance.’

The incident comes as the Israeli military has been raiding the West Bank area in what is said to be an effort to crack down on militant groups.

No Other Land follows a Palestinian activist Adra, who has been pushing back against the forced displacement of his people by Israel’s military in Masafer Yatta, a region in the West Bank, since he was a child.

The film documents his home is destroyed as soldiers tear down homes and evict communities so they can construct a military firing zone.

Filmed over four years between 2019 and 2023, the film utilises an archive of videos filmed by Adra’s family and neighbours over 20 years.

Gwyneth Paltrow has addressed her feud with the Duchess of Sussex after provoking outcry after posting an Instagram video seemingly mocking Meghan Markle’s new Netflix show.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, has faced poor reviews and intense online scrutiny since the release of her new lifestyle series – With Love, Meghan – and now it appeared the Goop creator joined the dissenting voices.

In a video uploaded earlier this week, the 52-year-old Hollywood actor shared her ‘cleaner take on a classic breakfast’ as she baked ‘gluten-free buttermilk biscuits, not-so-perfectly cooked over-easy eggs, and crispy bacon.’

After fans suggested she was mocking Meghan in the video, the star teamed up with Meghan for a joint video.

The video shows Gwyneth responding to a question that asked if she understood the ‘Meghan Markle beef’ rumours on social media. Paltrow replied: ‘I genuinely do not understand this at all, whatsoever.’

‘Do you understand this?’ She turned the camera to show Meghan sitting at the table eating some cake.

Meghan shrugged her shoulders and leaned back in her chair.

The cooking montage – in which she is wearing white and blue striped pyjamas in her Monticeto home – was set to Natalie Cole’s This Will Be ‘An Everlasting Love’, notably the backing music Meghan uses for her new show, which only landed earlier this month.

She also held a monogrammed mug aloft and featured her dog in the clip which is all similar aesthetics so Meghan’s show as fans have pointed out.

The lifestyle guru’s own controversial brand centres sexual wellness, minimalist wardrobes, healthy-eating and non-toxic beauty – and she even had her own Netflix show in 2020.

Her followers have expressed their dismay at Gwyneth’s video in the comments, questioning if this was meant to ‘shade’ Meghan while haters praised her for the supposed dig.

‘It’s bad enough that women are pitted against each other, but it’s unforgivable when women do it themselves. I thought Gwyneth had more class, but I guess she was just acting,’ jessicarmurietta wrote in the comments.

‘Ew. If you’re trying to throw shade at Meghan, this is very déclassé and a not-so-micro aggression.

‘What about welcoming someone to the lifestyle space & making room for others to thrive instead of being threatened and petty?’ lauravonholt added.

‘Wow. This is shades of epic proportions,’ QLoTII posted on X.

‘Ok I’m not a fan of Markle or Paltrow but the shaaaaade…..’ rubykennedy added.

Some fans came to her defence, however.

And just days earlier, in an interview with Vanity Fair, the Iron Man star offered kind words about Meghan, adding to the confusion.

When asked, she said: ‘I don’t know Meghan and Harry. I’m surprised, given how close they live. I mean, I’ve met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don’t know her at all.

Then joked: ‘Maybe I’ll try to get through their security detail and bring them a pie.’

The screenstar then reiterated that she is welcoming of Meghan in the lifestyle space.

‘[When] there’s noise about certain women in the culture, I do have, always, a strong instinct to stand up for them.

‘I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there’s always more than enough to go around. Everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try.’

Gwyneth is far from the first celebrity of facing backlash surrounding Meghan’s show.

Earlier this month, comedian Katherine Ryan clarified her comments about Meghan during her podcast Telling Everybody Everything, stating that she was ‘rooting’ for her.

And acknowledged the ‘unconscious bias’ against her due to racism.

However, she then stated: ‘She is very Hollywood I see now and maybe it’s just the project she’s choosing.

‘It does feel like she has lied about whether she knew who Prince Harry was, and these like details about her childhood change.

‘Her whole act just seems like very manicured and very forced. And I’ve known a lot of Hollywood people. They’re not bad people. I certainly don’t think she’s a bad person.’

Despite the mixed response to the show – which has been renewed for a second season – the latest statistics predict that it has contributed $10million to her associated brand, As Ever.

In a conversation on Pretty Woman’s 35-year-anniversary, Dan Lester, the costume supervisor from the film revealed Richard Gere said no to going nude.

The 1990 film was nothing short of iconic and featured some of the most beloved lines and fabulous outfits that are still applauded today.

Julia Roberts, 57, stars as Vivian Ward, a young prostitute working Hollywood Boulevard who ends up spending the week with rich millionaire Edward Lewis (Gere) after giving him directions.

The film grossed $463 million (£357 million) at the global box office and was Disney’s highest-grossing R-rated movie until 2024 when Deadpool & Wolverine surpassed it.

Thanks to roles in legendary films Pretty Woman, Runaway Bride, American Gigolo, Days of Heaven and Primal Fear, the 75-year-old has been a staple of our screens for decades – but this role nearly included a very revealing scene for the actor.

Speaking to Metro, Dan Lester who worked as the costume supervisor on the film, revealed that the actor had a lot of input into his role.

‘Richard was always terrific. Julia’s character was always fully developed, Richards really wasn’t. So he had a lot of input into changing things.

‘The one thing one scene with Richard, is that I remember is there was a bathtub scene and it started out with just Richard in the bath and they wanted him to be nude.

‘And he’s like, “I’m not doing that.” Like, “well, that’s what it says in the script.”

‘He was 45 or something – And he’s like, “this in this movie is not about that. I’m not going to do it. I’m going to be covered, whether it’s bubbles or, you know, or the scenes going to take place outside. I’m not going to be naked in the bath that we’re not doing that.”

‘And he got his way, you know, he was right that isn’t what the movie was about.’

In the film, the actor appears topless in a bath with Julia but avoids any full-frontal scenes that would have exposed anything more than just his upper chest.

Dan also added that the film was originally much darker and didn’t have a happy ending for the pair.

‘The first script was dark,’ he said. ‘It was originally called 3000 because that was the dollar amount.

‘And it was kind of a dark script originally and was rewritten a bunch of times.

‘It wasn’t a fairy tale, he didn’t come back in the end and do all that. It was a different script.’

JF Lawton, a scriptwriter on the film previously told Yahoo: ‘The basic story is very similar, Vivian and Edward make a deal for six days for three thousand dollars, but at the end of those six days Edward doesn’t fall in love with her.

‘Vivian however, kind of imagines she loves him or at least doesn’t want to go back to her old life.’

Describing the rather dramatic and hardly fairytale ending, Lawton added: ‘Edward drives her back to Hollywood Boulevard and they get into an argument, with Edward not understanding why Vivian is so upset. When she won’t get out of the car, Edward tries to pull her out and she starts hitting him.

‘He throws her off and as she is sobbing, he tries to give her the money in an envelope. She won’t take it, and when he puts it on the curb for her, she grabs it and throws it in his face. But as he drives off, she slowly picks the money up from the street.’

In 2024, while chatting to the Awards Chatter podcast, Richard said there was ‘no character’ and felt he was just ‘a suit’ in the initial scripts.

‘There was no character. I read this thing and I said, “It’s not for me”. To me, it’s just a suit that is there in the movie.’

He was asked to meet the director Garry Marshall – who passed in 2016 – but confessed: ‘I’m uncomfortable because I really don’t want to do this. I wouldn’t mind seeing the movie, but I don’t see myself doing this…’

Fortunately, the actor was convinced by Julia and the director to take part in the movie, and the rest is history.

Ye, formerly known as Kanye, purchased the unique property worth $57.3 million (around £45.3 million) in 2021, created by the architectural legend Tadao Ando who only works on a few designs each year.

Quickly the star began stripping out its features, as the kitchen, bathrooms, and even light fixtures were gutted.

Construction halted on the property at the end of last year, and the house was left open to the elements after the windows that gave an ocean view in the beachside property, were removed.

Last January the home went up for sale for a price that’s now been reduced to $39, 000, 000 (£30.4 million). This means a loss of $18.3 million for the rapper if it sells at this price.

The New Yorker Magazine shared a video showcasing the ‘disembowelled’ interior of the artist’s home and fans were less than impressed with the rapper’s home improvements.

‘This hurts so much. What a masterpiece it used to be, it’s heartbreaking,’ Avajansson commented. 

‘The whole thing looks like an NCP car park anyway,’ BBC radio host Greg James commented, accurately.

The National Car Park (NCP) structures are huge concrete buildings scattered across the UK that are known for their functionality rather than overt beauty.

Gogglebox has sparked anger from fans after showing the cast watching the Amazon Prime series Fear.

Fans of Gogglebox tuned into the show last night to watch the cast members enjoy some of the best TV shows from the past week.

Among the picks of shows included Married at First Sight Australia, Wheel of Fortune, The Americas, and the Amazon series Fear.

Fear is a three-part thriller series from Amazon Prime that was launched at the beginning of the month on March 4.

Fans and critics were raving about the British thriller series upon its initial release, and their enthusiasm was replicated by some of the Gogglebox cast – but there was one major issue for viewers.

Unfortunately, the cast watched the final episode of Fear – which meant that Gogglebox viewers had the ending to the series completely spoiled for them.

Fans quickly took to social media to share their frustration.

‘Once again, massive spoiler. No need to watch Fear now #Gogglebox,’ saidPoppyblew.

‘For anyone who hasn’t actually seen the ending of ‘Fear’ just yet, or wanted to start it, C4 and Gogglebox would just like to say, Up yours #Gogglebox,’ said KissKissBBang.

‘Well there’s no point in anyone watching #Fear now, is there? Thanks #Gogglebox,’ said rozlaws.

The series from Amazon stars Line of Duty star Martin Compston as Martyn, who along with his wife Rebecca (Anjli Mohindra) and their two children, move from London into a new home in Glasgow.

However, things quickly take a turn when they discover their neighbour Jan isn’t as welcoming as they initially believed.

Instead, Jan (Solly McLeod) makes unsettling comments to Rebecca and quickly becomes more intimidating and makes chilling accusations that are ‘every parent’s worst nightmare’.

Speaking to Metro ahead of the series’ premiere, Martin spoke about the toll filming took on him.

‘My last scenes were emotional, and I was like, I have nothing left, I really have nothing left,’ he shared.

‘At first, I got really upset with myself and went back to my trailer and went “I f***ed that up.” But then I realised it was because I had nothing left. I had given it everything I had. I had rung every little last emotion out.

‘We had been shooting for seven hours but it’s still a mad feeling when I felt I couldn’t access [the right emotions] for that last take. I’m really proud of that scene now when it comes together.’

Fear is streaming on Amazon Prime Video and Gogglebox airs on Fridays at 9pm on Channel 4.

Mark Anthony Green has opened up about his directorial debut, Opus, as he reveals why he wrote an entire bible about a made-up religion, in preparation for his movie.

A24’s new psychological thriller Opus stars Ayo Edeberi and John Malkovich and was released last week after initially debuting at the Sundance Film Festival.

The film focuses on a group of music journalists who are invited to pop sensation Alfred Moretti’s home to hear about his grand return to the industry after a long hiatus.

Of course, things take a very sinister turn and it appears that the group is very much in danger from Moretti’s sycophantic groupies who are called the Levelists.

The movie is a directorial debut for director Mark Anthony Green, known as MAG, who was previously a journalist at GQ for 13 years. Speaking in a candid interview with Metro, he explained why he needed to write an entire 350-page ‘bible’ in preparation for the film.

‘Let me tell you something, Lord, nobody wants to be like “I wrote a manifesto.”

‘As a straight male, writing a manifesto? Now I’m on a list somewhere. I’m in terrible company.’

He then added that manifesto might be a strong term for what he created: ‘I wouldn’t call it a manifesto. It’s their [ the Levellists] Bible, basically the meditations of level.’

He explained that he felt this was necessary in order to ensure that he was informed when it came to working on set and explaining the behaviours of the religious group.

‘I just felt like, you know when you’re on set, you’re making a film, you’re constantly being asked questions. Like the director’s cliche of like, “I answered 100,000 questions today,”

‘I knew who Moretti was, I knew who Ariel was. I knew the story we were telling, but the religion, it felt like it was going to be such a source of the decision-making that I wanted to have it fully fleshed out.’

When asked if he handed out this bible to the cast, Green had a quick response.

‘Oh, I will never put it up. No one’s seeing that.’

‘I don’t want to make a religion and I would be heartbroken if somebody used it to do something awful.

‘I didn’t give it to any of the actors, or to any of the crew or anything. I wrote it. I believed in it,’ he quickly clarifies, ‘I didn’t believe the religion. But I was like, “This feels very real. I think this would this would stand up.”

Speaking to Metro, Murray Bartlett who plays Stan Sullivan in the film revealed that his character was inspired by a real man who worked at Rolling Stone magazine.

The actor said: ‘He was sort of based on someone who started and ran the Rolling Stone for a very long time. And not specifically, just a compilation of those kind of guys that are sort of in that old boys’ club.

‘The ones that have been in the music business for a long, long time. And, you know, feel kind of entitled in their position.’

‘Nobody is based on one person,’ Green agreed, but added that many of the characters were inspired by the people he worked with throughout his journalism career.

‘I’m not young anymore, but when I was a young journalist, I had those kind of interactions. So I wanted him to feel real.’

He described the character as being the archetype of a music editor who might say ‘No one makes albums anymore’ and believed the old ways of the music industry were far superior than today.

‘I think we all do this, where whatever you live through, that is what you think is the better way to do it.

‘So [the character archetype] was there at Rolling Stone during the time MTV was the authority on music videos, and the goal was to make an album with no skips, and it was about the album and living with it. ‘

‘Murray’s character is the easiest to get wrong in this movie because it so quickly could become a heavy-handed caricature,’ he said. ‘Microaggressions are really everything with that person and he did an amazing job.’

The film is a criticism of celebrity culture, and Green explained that he hopes that the movie sparks a conversation about tribalism and how we treat those who have fame and influence.

‘I think that it is this global pandemic of tribalism. It spans well past entertainment, and there are these icons, human figures, that being, believing in them, has become our entire identity.

‘I don’t have the answers. I’m an artist. I made a film that is super fun and provocative and evocative of whatever emotion. And I just want people to ask the questions. Chief among those questions is: does this thing still serve us? Has this gone too far? Are we entirely too divided because of tribalism? ‘

He added: ‘I hope people go and enjoy themselves first and foremost, and then hopefully talk. Talk it out with people who are way smarter than me, and I hope some answers come from it.’

Opus is in cinemas now.

It has been reported that Lily Allen’s Stranger Things star husband, David Harbour, was seeing a costume designer behind the star’s back for three years of their marriage.

The American actor, 49, and Allen, 39, tied the knot in 2020 after initially meeting on a dating app.

After four years of marriage, it appeared that the relationship was over as Allen was spotted on the celebrity dating app Raya in December 2024, and reports in January claimed that she was only on there to find her husband’s secret profile.

It has now been reported that Harbour was in a secret relationship for most of his marriage to the Smile singer.

A source who witnessed Harbour interact with the costume designer on the set of a movie told MailOnline: ‘David cheated on Lily.’

‘They met on a movie they did together,’ they added: ‘They weren’t very secretive about their relationship.’

The source also claimed that Harbour flew the woman to the Stanger Things set in Atlanta in order to keep him company – which was a 400-mile trip.

After taking a break from her podcast around the time of the couple’s reported split, Allen has returned to Miss Me? which she hosts with Miquita Oliver.

While on the show the singer has hinted at her break up and being single, without directly addressing any looming divorce.

Earlier this week, she revealed that she had undergone breast enhancement surgery and was planning to send some nude images.

‘I feel like it’s really fun. I’m like buying fancy lingerie that my boobs can actually fit in and taking pictures on my phone. Haven’t sent them to anyone yet, but it will hopefully get there at some point,’ she said.

After their split, the singer had a brief stint in a trauma centre rehab.

It was said she turned to an £8,000-per-week inpatient treatment facility, having felt ‘extremely triggered’ upon returning to Brooklyn, where Lily shares a home with David.

Returning to Miss Me? with Miquita Oliver after a month’s absence, she said recently: ‘I went into a treatment centre for a few weeks, which was great.

‘I did lots of group therapy and some like individual therapy. I needed some time and space away from everything.

‘And I did a lot of shadow work – lots of work about my inner child stuff.

‘It wasn’t easy by any stretch. And it’s a journey, it’s a lifelong journey of healing. It’s not a quick fix.’

Harbour has also yet to speak publicly about the end of his marriage.

Last month it was reported that he is dating a woman 22 years his junior, an aspiring model and actress 22 years younger than him named Ellie Fallon.

The actor is thought to have known Ellie, who has just turned 27, for several months. The couple apparently went on a trip to India together around New Year’s Eve.

Katherine Ryan revealed she has been diagnosed with skin cancer for the second time after feeling ‘uneasy’ over a mole.

In the latest episode of her podcast, the comedian, 41, confirmed her doctor had called her that morning with the news.

On Telling Everybody Everything, she shared she has melanoma, 20 years after she was first diagnosed with skin cancer.

During a visit to the doctors over a mole on her arm, Katherine was given the all-clear and told not to worry.

‘I know you should never google things but I’m actually really worried,’ she confessed.

‘Normally I’m that positive person. I think it’s really easy to take a diagnosis of “you’re healthy” and walk away.’

Who is Katherine Ryan’s husband Bobby Kootstra?

Katherine entered into a civil partnership with her childhood sweetheart Bobby Kootstra during a ceremony in Denmark in 2019 after rekindling their romance a year earlier.

The pair initially met when they were teenagers at their high school in Sarnia, Ontario.

They dated  ‘on and off’ from the age of 15 for about a year. ‘He’d split up with me for reasons like he wanted to concentrate on football and then we’d get back together,’ she told MailOnline in 2021.

They broke up for good on Prom night when Bobby ended things for ‘basically for no reason except he was drunk’. In retaliation, Katherine kissed a security guard.

They rekindled things decades later in 2018 when she briefly visited Canada and the pair ended up sleeping together after meeting up at a bar.

‘In the morning, I flipped out because I don’t have one-night stands. Ever. But he was so gentlemanly. He texted me right away. He didn’t play any games and we kept messaging back and forth.

‘As soon as I got back to London, I invited him to visit. He took a week off work and came.

‘Then and there I said: “I think we might end up together.” He said: “Yeah, I think we might.”’ – and their relationship went from strength to strength from there.

Speaking about her relationship on The Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show in 2023, she said: ‘We’re 40, we’re married and we’re very patient with each other, we communicate and we’ve lived these lives, but we have these f**king infants.

‘I think we’re good parents and we’re very privileged but it kicks the living s**t right out of you.’

Asked how often they have sex, she replied, according to The Daily Mail: ‘Not very often. I log it because I’m always trying to conceive! Day to day we’re back and forth about having more babies.

‘I will never allow him to get the snip! I just really love kids. Look, I’m 40 this year, we’ll see!’

How many children does Katherine Ryan have?

Katherine and Bobby share three children. The pair have a son named Fred, two, and baby daughter Fenna Grace, who was born in December 2022. 

Katherine is also mum to Violet, 14, from a previous relationship when she was 25, to whom Bobby is now a stepfather.

While she frequently shares the realities of being a mum, Katherine admitted previously to Metro that she regretted sharing her co-sleeping advice.

‘My children have enriched my life, they’re such a blessing and I would never trade them for anything,’ Katherine told Women Magazine.

The couple use co-sleeping for their kids, as Katherine explained: ‘We’re both co-sleeping with someone. Bobby sleeps with Fred because I’m sleeping with Fenna. It’s really good for the children to have that.’

However, the confession garnered a lot of backlash from other parents who didn’t approve of the method.

‘I feel like, I really believe in it,’ the Duchess star told Metro. ‘I think that you respond to your children’s needs immediately, and you’re very patient with them learning to feed themselves and learning to walk.

‘But in a lot of homes, we’re not patient about them learning to soothe themselves to sleep.’

What skin cancer does Katherine Ryan have?

On March 21 the star revealed to fans that she had been diagnosed with melanoma, a form of skin cancer for the second time.

The star revealed on her podcast that she was initially turned away by doctors when she initially raised concerns about her mole.

 ‘But the mole kept changing, I know a lot about melanoma, I had melanoma as a very young woman – aged 21 – on my leg, I’ve spoken about that before.

‘It was flat, it wasn’t that big but it was melanoma. It is a deadly form of skin cancer and it does spread quickly.’

She said she knew the mole ‘wasn’t right’ and insisted the doctor remove it and ‘stitch it up’ again.

‘Even when he looked at it, he was like, “It’s not melanoma, it’s totally fine, I will do a shave and send it away for testing”,’ she added.

After testing, the doctor called her back with the diagnosis. Katherine has yet to announce the next steps in her treatment.
