Cruz Beckham is following in his mum’s footsteps and pursuing a music career but he’s idolising a different British band.
The 20-year-old previously was hailed as the ‘next Oasis’ when he teased a song to fans on social media.
His new track has made his musical inspirations even clearer as Cruz has declared he ‘wants to be John Lennon’.
The Beatle had a hugely successful solo career after leaving the band in 1969 until his untimely death in 1980.
In a short snippet posted to his Instagram, the youngest son of Victoria and David Beckham could be seen playing guitar with his band.
‘I wanna be John Lennon’ was the only clear lyric with Cruz stepping up to the microphone for his solo vocal moment.

The aspiring singer has been known to harbour musical ambition for some time, having released a Christmas charity single in 2016.
However, Cruz – who is currently dating 29-year-old Brazilian-German songwriter Jackie Apostel – is yet to release any full tracks to the public with fans in his comments begging for this next step.
‘Dont be shy release some music!’ wrote deaundre_w as charliecarpy praised: ‘Bro talented fr🔥🔥🔥’.
‘Getting ready to go I see 🔥,’ said meghanbialist while robbiemeam added: ‘Cruzzzzz we can’t wait 👋🏽👋🏽👋🏽.’
While at fashion week supporting his mum, Cruz put his own original audio to a chaotic video of his family all dressed up for the event.

‘When are you releasing the song? Sounds very good!’ commented rafanieb.
‘Music so good it made me forget how bad the camera skills were,’ joked ahmed_alsibai.
While he’s not formally dropped any music, just after Christmas, he shared a tease from a song that appears to be called For Ya Love.
Posting to his Instagram and TikTok accounts, the short video of his song shows Cruz and a pal performing in a studio through a red filter and fish-eye lens effect.

‘Call me if you’re looking for some fun/ I’ll slip you through the needle of my eye,’ he drawls while playing, with the lyrics continuing: ‘Love’s a word that money cannot buy/ Lusting for destruction, just to find some satisfaction/ Turning evil into action/ For your love.’
So far his tracks have heavily featured a moody 90s guitar-led sound, blending indie sleaze with Britpop classics.
He’s been met with overwhelming support from fans online but there’s no word on what his Spice Girls legend mum thinks of his foray into music.

Cruz is reportedly signed to music management company C3, who have worked with Fleetwood Mac star Lindsey Buckingham and Jack Harlow, switching over from TaP.

His career dedication is a little different to his siblings, who have tested out many occupations over the years.
Romeo, 22, was following in his father’s footsteps as a footballer before he appeared to leave the sport in September in order to pursue a new venture in fashion like his mum.
Meanwhile, eldest sibling Brooklyn, 26, has also tried out a few careers over the years, releasing a photography book – and later interning for famed British photographer Rankin – and pursuing modelling, before more recently rebranding as a chef.
