After the huge (and I mean life-changing) success of their Coverless Duvet, which is my new ride or die sleep essential, I thought there’s probably nobody I trust more than them to give me great sleep.

So, I snapped up their Boutique Silk Pillow bundle, as well as their Spundown Duvet, and put them to the test.

How do the pillows look?

I slipped on the brand’s Eden Green Matelasse 100% BCI Cotton Duvet Cover Bedding and I absolutely loved how full and elegant they looked, especially accompanied by the gorgeously puffy and luxe duvet.

(Side note: These sheets are perhaps some of the most gorgeous I’ve ever owned. They look and feel such beautiful quality and have been made using crisp 100% responsibly sourced BCI Cotton. 10/10 would recommend.)

They just look so good. Literally like you’ve just checked yourself into a boutique hotel. Swoon.

How do the pillows feel?

You know that feeling when you jump onto a hotel bed and just sink into the cushions like they’re marshmallows? These pillows give that same, squishy and cosy feeling, truly like resting your head on a cloud.

While they claim to be medium/firm, I’d say that for my firm pillow-loving self they fall more around the medium mark, so if you like something a lot firmer then I’d opt for the Spundown Firm Support Cotton Pillow. Love a medium squish? The Boutique Silk Pillows will be for you.

The thing is though, while I do lean towards firm, I slept incredibly well on these pillows, and thanks to their impressive support I wasn’t left with a stiff neck in the morning. Instead, I was rested and comfortable, and what more can you ask for than that?

What I also love about these pillows is that they hold their shape night after night, dissimilar to pillows of the past that have become pancake-worthy within weeks.

What’s the price like?

Pricewise, these pillows come in at £38 for one, and £71.44 for two – so a nice little discount when you get the bundle. This is, admittedly, on the pricier side when it comes to pillows. All I can say is that a luxe feel like this seldom comes cheap, and they’re definitely on the lower end of the price spectrum for top-notch quality pillows.

Plus, can you really put a price on great sleep? I don’t think so…

While we’re only a month and a half in, 2025 has already been incredibly fruitful when it comes to new beauty releases – and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of putting a huge selection to the test.

From makeup products we can’t get enough of to skincare we’re already seeing results from, I’ve consorted with my beauty-writing colleagues to bring you the lowdown on what we’ve been loving and what’s worth your buck.

Brands like Dermalogica and Skin Rocks have wowed us with skincare releases, while the likes of Haus Labs and Benefit have had a small outpouring of newness that we’ve caught with open, eager arms.

Even hair and fragrance have had excellent new releases in 2025, and so many products have been winners.

Beauty buffs, listen up. Benefit has somehow managed to drop another show-stopping mascara, and I know I’ve said this for most of their releases, but this one may just be my absolute favourite.

When it comes to mascara, Benefit really knows what they’re doing. From the OG They’re Real! And Rollerlash to BADgal Bang! and Fan Fest, there’s not a single formula that doesn’t deliver – and I would know as I’ve tried them all.

But this new release has that extra je ne se quoi that has me totally hooked. It’s called, aptly, Badgal Bounce, and it’s set to give you your biggest, fluffiest, most volumised lashes yet. Can I get a hell yeah!

The secret to bigger, bouncier lashes, BadGal Bounce boats a nourishing formula as well as a duel-sided brush to help coat lashes from root to tip while seperating them for your fluffiest, most volumised lashes yet.

But it’s not just the formula that makes this mascara a huge winner, as Benefit claim that the custom-engineered hybrid brush does a lot of the heavy lifting.

On one side of the brush you’ll find fiber bristles that deposit formula at the lash line and evenly coat the lashes from root to tip, while on the other a fine-tooth comb works to separate and define each lash, ensuring zero spidering or clumping.

In fact, Benefit claim that you’ll see 242% more volume after three coats – truly astronomic lashes.

Better still, you’ll find no clumps, flakes or smudging – which is always the clincher for me, who doesn’t wear mascara on her bottom lashes and likes to keep them clear of mascara blobs.

But the main reason I’m obsessed with BadGal Bounce is because it sends my lashes into outer space. We’re talking super lengthened, thickened, volumised and defined from the first swipe.

I absolutely love the dual-sided brush, which not only helps me coat each individual lash and give gorgeous definition, but also enables me to get into every nook and crannie, notably my outer-outer lashes, ensuring no lash is left behind.

It’s also super black, leaving a gorgeously intense look that really does last all day. What’s not to love? Benefit have knocked it out the park once again.

But don’t just take my word for it, listen to the amazing claims. In self-evaluations by 116 participants after one week using the mascara, 93% agreed lashes looked fuller, 95% said lashes looked evenly separated, 93% said their lashes looked fluffy and 93% said it gave instant lift.

When it comes to getting a gorgeous glow, a highlighter is a pretty good place to start. My problem, however, is finding one that isn’t excessively glittery and doesn’t draw attention to my texture.

Though my hunt has been long, it finally proved fruitful when I came across the brand-new e.l.f. Halo Glow Powder Filter. And boy, what a find this was.

The clever setting-glow hybrid powder can be used on its own or to set and refresh makeup for long-lasting wear, but I love using it on the high points of my face to add a velvety smoot, lit-from-within glow.

It really is giving smooth, airbrushed and perfected.

And because the powder is, first and foremost, a finishing powder, it can give you as much or as little coverage as you need, resisting both caking and creasing to help you achieve a smooth, set and long-lasting look.

As someone who likes to be matte where I’m matte and glowy where I’m glowy, I opted to treat the e.l.f. Halo Glow Powder as more of a highlighter than a setting powder, adding it to my cheek bones, above the brow and below the brow bone, inner corner of the eye and the tip and ridge of my nose.

As you can see from my photos, the powder gives me a gorgeously smooth sheen where I’ve buffed it into my skin, creating a really lovely, lit-from-within glow.

Even in natural (and harsh) office lighting, you can see the smooth sheen the e.l.f. powder has left on my high points – an almost indistinguishable smoothing glow where I need it. But please, let’s ignore my oily nose which I did, in fact, forget to powder down matte.

Another thing I love about the powder is the total lack of glitter. Some highlighting powders are packed with chunky glitter which leave you looking like you’re made up for NYE, which isn’t necessarily the look I’m going for on a Thursday in the office.

Instead, the finely milled powder subtly reflects the light, leaving an even glow that’s just lovely.

The powder is available in 12 flexible shades in an array of undertones to suit most skin tones, from fair to rich.

The packaging is great, too, coming in a robust pot to minimise the chance of breakage, as well as a velour puff and mirror for easy on-the-go touch-ups.

And despite being a new release from the brand, shoppers seem to love the powder just as much as me, calling it a ‘quick and easy enhancer’, adding that it’s like an ‘IRL filter’.

‘The powder evened my skin tone without make up.’ Raved one five-star reviewer. ‘It’s perfect for us girlies who don’t really wear make up a lot but need a little pick me up. Just pull out this powder and you’re good to go.’

Another added: ‘I used this on top of my makeup as a setting powder. I have combo skin and get oily around my t-zone.

‘It held up really well after wearing for several hours. I also really like the smoothing effect it gives you. It really looks airbrushed and so nice.’
