Emmerdale’s Manpreet Sharma (Rebecca Sarker) seems to have got herself involved in something a bit dark.
Ever since the limo accident she’s been acting strange and cagey.
She swiftly lost her composure when Liam (Jonny McPherson) accidentally picked up her phone, and it was later revealed that she’s started being blackmailed.
Manpreet’s ordeal began when she set up a profile on a site similar to OnlyFans. Someone who viewed her intimate pictures then got her phone number, and is now making her life a living hell.
So far though, Manpreet doesn’t know who’s on the other side of the blackmailing messages. But now she has to pay them, and they have to meet, so it’s her chance to find out who it is.
She arrives at the cricket pavilion to wait. As she nervously tries to figure out what’s going on, who should emerge from the bushes? Joe.

But there’s a twist for Manpreet as Joe asserts it’s not him.
As he begs her to believe him, she relents and accepts that maybe there is someone else.
Joe offers to help her pay off her blackmailer, which is a bit of an odd move. What’s in it for him?
Or is this a bit of a misdirection and it really is him after all?
